ARTS GUILD FRIENDS SHOW

The Arts Guild of Sonoma invites the community to experience one of its most anticipated annual exhibitions, Friends. More than an exhibition, Friends celebrates the relationships that inspire artists to create, mentor one another, celebrate one another's successes, and strengthen the creative fabric of our community.

"Artists don't create in isolation," said Arts Guild of Sonoma President Tricia O'Brien. "We encourage one another, challenge one another, and celebrate each other's successes. This exhibition is a wonderful expression of those creative friendships."

The exhibition reflects the Guild's belief that some of the finest artists in Northern California live and work right here in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties—and that our region grows stronger when artists have opportunities to exhibit, collaborate, and inspire one another.

Winter Art Market at the Sonoma Community Center

Julia is participating in the Sonoma Community

Center’s “Winter Art Market”.

 

Her booth is located upstairs in Room 210.

 

Julia will have all her art expressions of paintings, prints, cards, sewn items, jewelry and sculptures for your holiday shopping needs.

 

Opening night       Friday, Dec 2          4 pm - 7 pm

Sale days                Saturday, Dec 3     10 am -  6 pm

The public will have an opportunity to experience the diversity of Julia Pozsgai’s art works at her upcoming show at The Shop at Marin Art and Garden Center in Marin.  Annually Julia does an exhibition to showcase her talents in a variety of mediums. This year’s theme is “Nature’s Colorful Music”.

Located at 30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd in Ross, CA, Marin Art and Garden Center is a perfect setting for nature, color and music as it is well known for its many acres of gardens, a place to celebrate love (wedding events are held here), and is a natural haven for wildlife and birds.

The art exhibit will include: paintings, prints, cards, fiber art purses, totes, ukulele pillows, jewelry, sculptures, wind chimes, and even some Trashion Fashions.  The show will run three weekends in October:  6, 7, 8 and 13, 14, 15 and 20, 21, 22. The Shop is open 10 AM to 4 PM daily Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Kaleidoscope of Love Paintings at Made Local Marketplace

Great News! Julia’s Kaleidoscope of Love Paintings and Fiber Panels are now on display at the Made Local Marketplace in Santa Rosa. This is the first time they are being shown after the virtual art exhibition from November and December 2020.

The Made Local Marketplace has their new store at Montgomery Village, at 2421 Magowan Drive in Santa Rosa, CA. It is a great new location with a wonderful light-filled gallery space.

In addition to the paintings, Julia has her jewelry, fiber arts and prints for sale at this venue.

Made Local Marketplace hours are Monday through Saturday: 10:00 to 6:00 and Sundays 11:00 to 5:00.

ONE WOMAN SHOW KALEIDOSCOPE OF LOVE

JULIA POZSGAI CREATES HER FIRST VIRTUAL SHOW!

With the pandemic’s influence, Julia decided to do her annual one woman show virtually this year. She challenged herself to create the show using paintings, fiber arts, jewelry and metalwork with the theme “Kaleidoscope of Love” which speaks to the shifting nature of our world. She would film the show and put it on her website and YouTube. This would be her opportunity to learn new things and with an added bonus of creating an online store. It is all coming together and will start to air November 1, 2020.

The “Kaleidoscope of Love” exhibition is funded in part by the California Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Arts and Disability Center at the University of California Los Angeles. Julia is most grateful for this support.

National Arts Drive

Julia is participating in the National Arts Drive

Saturday, June 20th

1:00 to 4:00 PM

The National Arts Drive is an online and offline  grassroots movement and fundraising campaign to bring awareness and financial support to local artists on a national scale. 

Julia’s art will be on her studio balcony. Supporters of the arts keep a safe distance as they drive (or walk) by to see her colorful work. 

Go to http://nationalartsdrive.com  to learn more and to sign up as a supporter of the arts.  Be a “driver”, which means you will be driving around to go see all the local art by various artists in the Sonoma area, including Julia’s. Julia’s studio location is shown on the National Arts Drive map which will be made available on June 20th.

Note : the Arts Guild of Sonoma is also participating in the National Art Drive on June 20th. The Arts Guild Gallery is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 11 to 5. Julia’s prints, greeting cards and jewelry are for sale there. It is located at 140 East Napa St., Sonoma, CA.

Arts Guild February Member Exhibition with the Opening Reception Feb 6, 2020

Julia participates once again at the Arts Guild of Sonoma for the member exhibition which runs both February and March.

Julia presents paintings with a leaf motif . And a new kiwi painting!

Paintings, prints, greeting cards, art cards, jewelry and fiber arts created by Julia can all be seen there.

Julia's Bird Quilt in Show March 25 & 26

Julia Pozsgai will be exhibiting her "Birds in Nature" quilt for the annual Vintage House Sonoma Quilt show.  She was inspired to do the show by the Audubon society of Marin.  Her style is very free-form and its as if she's painting with fabric! Julia participates in Trashion Fashion

From March 18 through March 25th visit the Sonoma Community Center located at 276 East Napa Street in Sonoma, CA.  There on exhibit are 60 some entries of fashions designed for Barbie.  Julia Pozsgai created a wonderful winter outfit as well as a scene of Barbie in Antarctica. (See picture on the Fiber arts page of this website.)
